Job Description

A healthcare-focused Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in pediatrics and school settings is needed to provide services in a middle school environment in Hemet, CA. This contract role spans the current school year with a start date as soon as possible and an expected end date in November, with a strong possibility of extension including coverages in December and February.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy to a caseload of approximately 4050 middle school students, with adjustments as needs evolve.
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct intervention services tailored to student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and compliance with school and healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of speech-language programs within the school setting.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology and healthcare settings.
  • Familiarity with K-12 educational environments.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a school team.

Schedule & Location:

  • Location: Middle School in Hemet, CA.
  • Hours: 7.5 hours per day, 35 billable hours per week.
  • Contract duration aligns with the current school year (CSY), with possible extensions.
