Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the upcoming school year in a K-12 setting located in Hazlehurst, MS. This contract position offers a caseload working with students across the district, providing comprehensive speech and language services as part of a supportive educational team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and student evaluations to identify speech and language needs.
  • Develop, write, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state guidelines.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language challenges.
  • Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage caseload according to the districts model, ensuring effective and individualized service delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Speech-Language Pathology Certification (CCC) required.
  • Experience providing teletherapy services preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a school-based setting with K-12 students.
  • Ability to follow state credentialing and fingerprinting requirements for employment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage assessments, documentation, and collaboration.

Position Details:
