Job Description

A K-12 school district in Hayward, CA is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position during the current school year. This role is designed for an SLP to support students with speech and language needs across the K-12 grade levels.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting speech and language evaluations and assessments for students.
  • Developing and implementing individual therapy plans targeting communication goals.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies.
  • Providing virtual supervision if working as an SLPA under an SLP supervisor.

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Certification in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or holding a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, ideally within school settings.
  • Familiarity with school-based speech language pathology practices and regulations.
  • SLPA candidates are considered if working under a virtual SLP supervisor.

Location and work schedule:

  • Position is based in Hayward, CA, within a K-12 school district.
  • This role requires availability for two days per week.
