Job Description

A dynamic opportunity is available for a skilled candidate seeking to make a meaningful impact in an elementary school setting. This contract position for the 2025-2026 school year involves working with K-5 students, focusing on their unique communication needs within a supportive educational environment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • ASHA certification preferred, but not mandatory
  • Previous experience in school settings is a plus
  • Clinical Certificate in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Strong assessment and evaluation skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Location:

  • Hayward, CA

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs
  • Provide direct speech and language services as outlined in IEPs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
  • Manage a caseload of no more than 55 students
  • Participate in initial assessments and comprehensive services
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and services provided
