Step into an impactful opportunity supporting students' growth during the 2026-2027 academic year as a dedicated contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time position (35-37.5 hours per week) offers a unique dual setting: half of your time will be spent working with early learners in a special education preschool, and the other half supporting students at the elementary level. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to help every child reach their communication potential.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid SLP-CCC credentials required
- School-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Firm understanding of speech and language intervention for diverse populations
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches based on age and individual needs
- Strong organizational and case management skills for handling split-site assignments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, support staff, and families
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to students in both preschool and elementary settings
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and document progress
- Provide direct and consultative services in classrooms and small groups
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and parents to support student goals
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture
- Maintain accurate records and compliance with all relevant educational laws and policies
