Key Qualifications:

  • Current Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong skills in assessment, language intervention, and individualized education planning
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, families, and staff

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language services to students according to individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and administrative staff to support student progress
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students therapy needs
  • Develop and update therapy goals, track progress, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Engage with caregivers and teachers to promote communication growth across settings
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input on communication goals and strategies
