Job Description

This opportunity is ideal for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) seeking a full-time, onsite position in a K-12 school setting. Located in Gretna, LA, you will work directly within the Jefferson Parish School District, primarily serving elementary schools on the west bank. The contract position spans the current school year, from ASAP through May 22, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students across K-12
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana
  • ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Ability to pass district-required drug screen and fingerprinting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with children in a school setting preferred

Work Schedule and Location:

  • Full-time, 35 hours per week (7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
  • Monday through Friday, aligned with the school calendar
  • Onsite position at schools within the Jefferson Parish School District, primarily on the west bank
