Job Description

A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with experience in teletherapy is sought for a K-12 school district in Upstate New York. This is a contract position for the school year, offering a 37.5-hour work week serving a mixed caseload primarily within the mild to moderate disability range.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC) required
  • Proficiency in delivering teletherapy services
  • Experience working with students across the K-12 spectrum
  • Ability to manage a caseload that includes mild to moderate speech and language disabilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators and families

Location:

  • Upstate New York, Grand Island area

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments for K-12 students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students needs
  • Provide therapy services through both in-person and teletherapy modalities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with district policies
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student communication goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and assist in adapting intervention strategies accordingly
