Job Description

A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students for the 2025-2026 school year in Genoa, IL. This position offers flexible scheduling options, including full-time and part-time roles, with caseloads divided by classrooms to optimize student support.

Responsibilities include providing speech and language therapy services to a diverse student population ranging from Kindergarten through transition age (12+). Approximately 60% of students have Autism as a primary or secondary diagnosis. The caseload for an SLP typically involves working with 2-4 classrooms, each with up to 10 students, who exhibit varying communication abilitiesfrom non-verbal to fluent AAC users.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois SLP or SLPA license
  • For SLP candidates: Professional Educator License (PEL) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
  • Experience working with pediatric populations and diverse communication needs is preferred
