Job Description
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support K-12 students in a school setting in the Fortson, GA area. This contract role spans the current school year and offers an opportunity to apply specialized skills in speech and language development across a diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in K-12 students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families.
- Provide both one-on-one and group therapy sessions to enhance student communication skills.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state regulations.
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success.
Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license is required.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience in school-based SLP roles, working with children and adolescents from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively work with students and school staff.
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently within a school calendar year contract.
