Job Description

This role focuses on both direct speech services and conducting evaluations to support student success throughout the academic year.

Requirements:

  • Current Florida Department of Health SLP licensure
  • Experience or strong interest in a school-based SLP setting
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to school environments
  • Comfort working with students ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Successful completion of fingerprinting requirements (prior FL school district prints may be accepted via the AHCA Clearinghouse)
  • Willingness to obtain a JLA badge after clearance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and individualized speech-language therapy to K-12 students
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations as needed
  • Develop and implement IEP goals focused on students' communication needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to optimize therapy outcomes
  • Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all district and state regulations
