Job Description

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting located in Folsom, CA. This contract position is open for the current school year (CSY), providing services to support students' communication and language development.

Key Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Experience working as an SLP in school environments, preferably with K-12 populations
  • Knowledge of school-based speech-language therapy protocols and educational regulations
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports aligned with school standards
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
  • Participate in team meetings and provide guidance on speech-language strategies within the classroom
