Key qualifications include:
- Current Wisconsin Speech Language Pathologist License
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Wisconsin Department of Education Certification
- Experience in school-based, pediatric, or healthcare SLP settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to students, focusing on individualized education plan (IEP) goals
- Perform evaluations, create documentation, and maintain thorough records according to regulatory standards
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and caregivers on intervention strategies and best practices
- Advocate for student needs and offer support to classroom staff
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, ensuring compliance with district and state regulations
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging environment for students of all abilities
