A unique opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in an elementary school setting. This position focuses on providing specialized speech therapy services to children, promoting their communication development and academic success.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or healthcare environments
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in delivering teletherapy services is a plus
- Strong ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in children
- Familiarity with educational regulations and Individualized Education Program (IEP) procedures
Location: This contract role is based in Escondido, California, serving an elementary school demographic.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify childrens therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Provide direct therapy services in person and through teletherapy as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with the education team
- Participate actively in team meetings and professional development activities
