Job Description

A K-12 school in Elwood, IN is seeking a skilled and certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their team for the upcoming school year. This contract position offers approximately 35 hours per week, starting late July, with a caseload of about 60 students. The role primarily supports PreK students, with some responsibilities extending through 3rd to 12th grade. One work-from-home day per week provides flexibility in scheduling.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing speech and language assessments, evaluations, and therapy to students from PreK to 12th grade
  • Developing individualized education programs (IEPs) and collaborating with teachers and families to support student progress
  • Maintaining accurate records and progress reports as required by the school district and regulatory agencies
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to multi-disciplinary discussions

Qualifications include:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Indiana State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Department of Education (DOE) certification as an SLP in Indiana
  • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 60 students with varied communication needs
  • Strong organizational and communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
