Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois SLP License
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Endorsement, required
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, preferred
- Previous experience supporting K-12 students in schools is highly valued
- Strong communication and organizational skills
What You'll Do:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for a culturally diverse student group
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to ensure comprehensive student support
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
- Maintain accurate records and consistent progress notes in accordance with school and legal standards
- Stay current with best practices and participate in ongoing professional development
