Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatric care, serving elementary school students from grades K-5. This contract position is perfect for those who are passionate about supporting children's communication development within an educational setting.

Location: Elgin, Illinois
Duration: 2025-2026 School Year
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct speech and language therapy services to students in grades K-5
  • Collaborating with educators and healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Conducting assessments, developing treatment goals, and monitoring student progress
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting on student outcomes
  • Participating in team meetings and parent conferences as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathology endorsement
  • Eligibility to work in school settings as an SLP within the designated state
  • Experience or certification as a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) SLP or ability to work in a school environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff
