Job Description

Provide specialized speech and language therapy services in a vibrant K-12 school setting located approximately 50 minutes from Athens, GA. This travel role will cover a maternity leave from August through October 2026, offering a unique opportunity to enhance communication skills for pediatric students across diverse educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based speech-language pathology services to students in grades K-12
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat a range of speech and language disorders
  • Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Document progress and maintain compliance with state and district policies
  • Manage caseload effectively to meet the demands of a maternity leave coverage assignment

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in a school environment
  • Ability to take on a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if applicable
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to student-centered care

Position Details:

  • 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Travel assignment based in Elberton, GA, supporting maternity leave coverage
