Job Description
Provide specialized speech and language therapy services in a vibrant K-12 school setting located approximately 50 minutes from Athens, GA. This travel role will cover a maternity leave from August through October 2026, offering a unique opportunity to enhance communication skills for pediatric students across diverse educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech-language pathology services to students in grades K-12
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a range of speech and language disorders
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document progress and maintain compliance with state and district policies
- Manage caseload effectively to meet the demands of a maternity leave coverage assignment
Required Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations in a school environment
- Ability to take on a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if applicable
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to student-centered care
Position Details:
- 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Travel assignment based in Elberton, GA, supporting maternity leave coverage
