This full-time contract position offers an engaging schedule from July 28, 2026 through May 21, 2027, working Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week. You'll have the chance to utilize your expertise at various school settings in the Effingham, SC area while supporting students communication development and academic success.
Key Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina SLP license or eligibility for SC certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience providing school-based speech therapy (elementary through high school preferred)
- Demonstrated skill in conducting comprehensive evaluations, crafting IEPs, delivering therapy, and collecting data
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, student-centered approach
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students across a range of grade levels
- Conduct evaluations and participate in multidisciplinary teams to determine student needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and inform instructional adjustments
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to facilitate student growth
- Maintain accurate records and thorough documentation
