Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support to elementary students in a school setting located in Edgewater, MD. This contract position is for the current school year and offers a 35-hour workweek. The caseload includes approximately 45-50 students primarily diagnosed with Other Health Impairments (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairment, allowing for meaningful, impactful therapy interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary-aged students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive school environment.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Maryland state license for Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply and will receive support.
  • Experience working with students who have OHI, Learning Disabilities, Autism, or Language Impairment is preferred.
