Job Description

A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at a middle school in Dumfries, VA, for the current school year on a contract basis. This maternity position offers an engaging caseload of approximately 50 students, primarily within an elementary school setting, providing a unique chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners' communication skills.

Key Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Virginia
  • Experience working with school-age children, preferably in elementary and middle school environments
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) is highly desirable
  • Strong ability to design and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and students

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development
  • Maintain detailed records and comply with state and school regulations
