Job Description
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to cover a maternity leave in a K-12 school setting located in Detroit, MI. This contract position runs from ASAP through March, providing crucial services to a diverse caseload of approximately 40 students with a range of communication challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized speech-language therapy to students across K-12 grades
- Assess and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to monitor progress and adjust interventions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state standards
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Michigan-issued SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience providing speech-language pathology services in school settings
- Strong understanding of developmental communication disorders and intervention strategies
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 40 students effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 3:10 PM (Full-time)
