Job Description

A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is sought for a contract position within an early childhood school setting in Detroit, MI. This role focuses on delivering specialized speech and language services to young children, supporting their communication development during the academic calendar year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized speech and language therapy plans for early childhood students.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support speech and language development and monitor progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to address a variety of speech and language disorders in young children.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of inclusive communication strategies within the school environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience working with early childhood populations in educational settings.
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills related to pediatric speech and language disorders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
