Job Description

A dedicated professional is sought to provide vital speech-language pathology services in an educational setting. This full-time, on-site role is focused on supporting students until the end of the school year, with an opportunity to continue into the summer session and the 2025-2026 school year.

Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Knowledge of current speech and language therapy practices

Location:
Detroit, MI

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech and language disorders
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement IEPs
  • Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case discussions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions
  • Support students in developing effective communication skills
