Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a dynamic educational environment. This role involves working directly with a diverse K-12 student population, primarily focusing on early education, from Kindergarten through third grade.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC)
  • Experience in pediatric speech therapy, particularly in school settings
  • Proficient in evaluating and re-evaluating students with IEPs
  • Familiarity with therapy practices and educational tools, especially EdPlan
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Location:
Detroit, MI

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations for students requiring speech and language therapy
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students on your caseload
  • Provide therapy services to students, focusing primarily on K-3 age groups
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation required by the school

This position runs for the full school year, utilizing a part-time schedule of 15-20 hours per week. The school consists of three buildings, with the majority of the caseload centered in the K-3 classrooms.
