Job Description
Located in Des Plaines, IL, this opportunity involves providing comprehensive speech-language pathology services within a K-12 school setting for the upcoming school year. This contract role offers the chance to work alongside a multidisciplinary team including social workers, psychologists, and special education supervisors, fostering a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech therapy to students, addressing a caseload of 35-45 children.
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and participate in eligibility and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
- Provide RtI (Response to Intervention) support services as part of a holistic approach to student development.
- Collaborate with a team of 3-5 SLPs per school and coordinate with special education supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license.
- Professional Educators License (PEL) through the Illinois State Board of Education.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
Details:
- 2 positions available for Speech-Language Pathologists holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- 35 hours per week.
- Contract duration: Current School Year (CSY).
