Job Description

A full-time, temporary Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) position is available to provide maternity leave coverage at an elementary school setting in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. This itinerant role will serve two school sites and offers a unique opportunity to work with preschool and kindergarten students in a school-based environment.

Location: Pawtucket, Rhode Island
Position Type: Full-Time, Temporary (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Length: 1216 weeks
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Daily Schedule: 8:00 AM 2:20 PM
Work Setting: School-Based, itinerant between two sites with paid travel time

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to preschool and kindergarten students across two different school sites using a push-in model
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 70 students, balancing time between both sites
  • Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to support student communication needs within the classroom environment
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in accordance with state and district requirements
  • Participate in meetings and communicate effectively with families regarding student progress

Qualifications:

  • Rhode Island SLP-CCC license required
  • Must meet Rhode Island Department of Education (DOE) credential requirements
  • Fingerprinting clearance required prior to start
  • Experience working in school-based settings with preschool and kindergarten students preferred
  • Ability to provide therapy in a push-in model across multiple classrooms
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
