Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized services within a K-12 educational setting. This contract position offers a comprehensive experience working with students across various grade levels, supporting their communication and language development through evidence-based interventions.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid SLP certification with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Experience working as a school-based speech-language pathologist
  • Ability to deliver individualized therapy to students with diverse speech and language needs
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with school documentation and Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes

Location: Columbus, GA
Duration: Contract position for the current school year (CSY)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations to identify student speech and language abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with educational goals
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
  • Provide guidance and support to educators and families regarding speech and language strategies
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and compliance with school policies
