Step into a rewarding contract position dedicated to supporting student communication and academic success! An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to provide essential speech services within a dynamic school environment. Working approximately 32.5 hours per week, you will collaborate with educators and families to help students thrive both in and out of the classroom.
In this role, you will work with a diverse caseload of about 40-50 students, offering your expertise to address a variety of speech and language needs. This assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and runs through the end of the school year in June.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current NY SLP license
- TSHH or TSSLD - DOE certification
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized therapy plans, and deliver direct speech/language services to students
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to ensure consistent, high-quality support
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and recommendations to help shape student success stories
- Stay current with best practices and compliance in school-based speech therapy
