Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to a rewarding contract assignment supporting middle school students near Chicago. Youll collaborate with the onsite SLP, focusing on students with mild to moderate disabilities, facilitating their progress and growth throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS 1 endorsement
- Experience or interest in working with middle school students
- Prior exposure to educational or clinical settings, preferably in school-based roles
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Ability to complete district fingerprinting requirements in advance of your start date
Role Details:
- Contract position running from August 19th through May 28th
- Work 2-3 days per week (13-19.5 hours weekly)
- Serve a single middle school campus with a caseload of 15-20 students
- Address a range of mild to moderate communication needs in a supportive environment
- Contribute to ongoing therapy, evaluations, and progress monitoring
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff
- District-provided supervision and resources to help ensure professional success
