Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in grades 3rd through 12th by providing skilled speech-language pathology services in an onsite school setting near Chicago, IL. This part-time role (15-18 hours per week) is ideal for professionals who are passionate about helping young learners build essential communication skills.
Candidates should be experienced in pediatric and school-based SLP services with a strong foundation in both clinical and educational environments. Bringing expertise from healthcare or other pediatric settings is a plus, especially when tailoring therapy for diverse student needs.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Illinois SLP License
- PEL Certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
- Experience working with pediatric and school-age caseloads
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to individualized educational requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of students speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for a varied caseload
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning for each student
