Job Description

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in the Chicago metropolitan area, specifically in Park Ridge, IL. This contract-to-hire role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse student population ranging from 5 to 22 years old in a structured school setting.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with school-aged populations
  • Ability to serve students district-wide within a caseload-based model
  • Strong skills in assessment, therapy, and documentation
  • Capable of working independently at a single school site (non-itinerant)
  • Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
  • Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License required
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
  • Fingerprinting clearance prior to start

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to students
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations essential for student progress
  • Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and development
  • Complete required documentation and reports accurately and timely
  • Deliver compensatory services as needed for full-time roles
  • Engage in virtual supervision for CFY clinicians

Job Details:

  • Contract position with potential for transition to hire
  • Assigned to one school site with a district-wide caseload structure
  • Part-time schedule: approximately 1114 hours per week; full-time available for candidates willing to provide compensatory services
  • Flexible workdays according to mutually agreed schedule
  • Start date: ASAP with contract concluding May 29, 2026
  • Interviews conducted via Zoom on an individual basis
