Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a leave contract in a Chicago-based elementary school setting. This opportunity involves providing in-person services across diverse student populations, including general education and self-contained life-skills programs. The role offers three distinct contract periods with caseloads capped at 60 students, with weighted caseloads for self-contained programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services to students from K-5, K-8, or ages 3-5 depending on assigned position
  • Conduct play-based assessments and provide direct therapy in inclusive and self-contained settings
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and school policies

Contract Positions: 1) Immediate start through 1/12/26 at an elementary K-5 building with some life-skills students 2) 11/20/25 through 3/6/26 at an adjacent elementary/middle K-8 facility (no travel between sites) 3) 1/5/26 through 4/13/26 at an early childhood center serving ages 3-5 in inclusion and self-contained programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Current State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist with Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings preferred
