Job Description
Providing specialized speech-language services in a dynamic K-12 educational environment, this position requires a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in supporting students communication development. The role involves collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals to implement individualized education plans and deliver high-quality therapy interventions tailored to each students needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) licensure
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working within school settings, particularly K-12
- Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
Location:
- Chicago, IL
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Conduct assessments and determine eligibility for services
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student progress
- Document services provided and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards

This contract position offers approximately 22.5 hours per week during the current school year (CSY), providing a balanced schedule ideal for professionals seeking meaningful work in an educational setting.
