Job Description

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the second semester of the 2025-2026 school year at an elementary school serving grades K8 in North Riverside, IL. This full-time contract opportunity runs from January 6th through May 22nd, 2026, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 3:10 PM, including a 40-minute lunch break.

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive speech-language therapy services to a diverse caseload of students in grades K through 8th. The SLP will deliver direct therapy, conduct assessments and evaluations, participate in IEP meetings, and ensure thorough documentation of all services. This role operates within a caseload service delivery model.

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Experience in school-based speech-language pathology services preferred
  • Ability to manage caseload independently and perform evaluations and assessments
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
