Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist with a focus on high school settings. This role is designed for professionals dedicated to supporting students with mild to moderate speech and language needs, fostering their communication skills and overall educational success.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Professional Educator's License (PEL) for Illinois schools through ISBE
  • CCC certification
  • Experience with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings

Location:

  • Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for approximately 25 high school students with speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and interventions
  • Conduct therapy sessions three days per week, focusing on evidence-based practices
