Job Description

A dynamic opportunity exists for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists to work in a supportive educational environment in Chicago, IL. This position focuses on collaborating closely with students in self-contained Autism classes, aiming to enhance communication skills and provide tailored support to approximately 10 elementary-aged students.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-5 students
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with classroom teachers
  • Ability to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Location:

  • Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for students
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to co-teach and support students' communication needs
  • Develop and maintain IEPs, ensuring they reflect students' progress and goals
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a comprehensive support plan
  • Document student progress and adjust therapy techniques as needed
