Job Description

A K-12 School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a full academic school year contract in Chatham, VA. This opportunity is ideal for licensed SLPs experienced in working with school-aged children across grades kindergarten through 12. The role focuses on providing speech and language support tailored to the diverse needs of students within the school setting.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology license or certification
  • Experience working with children in educational environments, ideally K-12
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development in school-age children
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with educators, parents, and students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students
  • Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with school staff and families
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
  • Participate in team meetings and provide consultation related to speech and language development
