Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students from preschool through 5th grade for the upcoming fall semester (August 5th, 2026 through December 19th, 2026). In this full-time position, you'll provide essential Occupational Therapy services across two elementary sites, with a caseload of approximately 40 students. Collaborate with an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team and make a meaningful impact on young learners as you deliver hands-on therapy, complete evaluations, contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monitor progress, and help students reach their fullest potential.

Qualifications and Experience Sought:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of California
  • Experience working in school-based settings with pediatric populations, especially preschoolelementary aged children
  • Comprehensive understanding of conducting and interpreting OT evaluations and re-evaluations
  • Strong knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and legal requirements
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and caregivers
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a collaborative, fast-paced educational environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to students, targeting fine motor, sensory, and functional skills critical for educational success
  • Conduct assessments, interpret results, and develop measurable goals for IEPs
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, delivering clear recommendations and progress updates
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student progress and services
  • Consult and collaborate extensively with teachers, aides, and related service providers
  • Engage caregivers in the therapy process to promote carryover and family engagement
