Looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to thrive in a full-time contract role within a supportive school setting near Camarillo, CA. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students lives, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary educational team.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required.
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license for California.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) strongly preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) candidates considered.
- Experience working in school settings is desirable.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities.
- Dedication to evidence-based therapeutic interventions for students with diverse needs.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings for K-12 students, identifying those in need of further assessment.
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, staff, and families.
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals.
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with school and state guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions.
- Collaborate with other educators, special education professionals, and parents to promote student growth and communication success.
- Sponsor or support communication-enhancing activities within the school community.
