Job Description

A K-12 school in Brookfield, WI is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position covering the current school year (CSY). This role involves providing comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students across grades K-12, supporting their communication development and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations, screenings, and assessments for students with communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students speech and language goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state regulations
  • Provide consultation and training to educational staff on speech and language development strategies
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional recommendations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
  • Experience working with pediatric populations within school settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders commonly encountered in K-12 students
  • Ability to effectively assess and treat a diverse range of speech and language challenges
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with school-based therapy protocols and special education services
