Job Description

This is an opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide speech therapy services one-on-one to a homebound student with multiple disabilities. This position is focused on delivering direct therapy utilizing various therapeutic techniques and devices to support their communication needs.

Location: Bronx, NY

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy to a homebound student.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech and language disorders.
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
  • Use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices as part of therapy.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and the students family to support overall development.

Qualifications:

  • Active New York State Speech-Language Pathologist License.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Experience in speech therapy within healthcare or educational settings.
  • Knowledge of AAC devices and their application in therapy.
  • Previous work with pediatric populations, particularly students with disabilities.
