Job Description

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist seeking to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting. This full-time position is based in Brimley, MI, within a K-12 school environment, and is designed to extend through the full semester. The role involves working with a diverse student population, addressing a variety of speech and language needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • CCC-SLP certification preferred
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Familiarity with various speech and language disorders and effective intervention strategies

Location:

  • Brimley, MI, serving a caseload of approximately 45 students across single school and multi-building assignments

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students speech and language abilities
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans based on assessment results
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to facilitate students communication goals
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required by the school
  • Participate in IEP meetings and advocate for students needs
  • Provide direct therapy and support to students, fostering their communication skills
