Job Description

Join a K-12 educational setting in Brewer, ME, as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). This role offers the opportunity to provide essential speech and language support to students, helping them achieve their communication goals within a collaborative school environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech therapy services aligned with individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Conduct thorough testing and assessments to evaluate students speech and language needs.
  • Develop, write, and manage IEPs, ensuring compliance and personalized goal-setting.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Maine Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license required.
  • Experience working in school settings preferred.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills with ability to tailor therapy approaches.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration with staff and families.
