Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students at two dynamic high schools in Colorados Boulder area for the upcoming academic year. This school-based speech-language pathology position is ideal for a professional dedicated to fostering student achievement and communication growth. The assignment spans from early August 2024 through late May 2027, with a part-time (0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week) schedule to be arranged collaboratively with school leadership.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold or be actively pursuing a valid CDE license; SLPA certifications are not accepted
  • Submit a copy of your CDE license or COOL record with your resume (applications cannot be reviewed without these documents)
  • Completion of Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) for Speech-Language Pathology
  • Minimum of one year of classroom-based experience in a school setting
  • Professional skills in SLP therapy, written and verbal communication, and collaboration
  • Comfortable working exclusively onsite
  • Ability to indicate clearly which high school site is preferred, along with required credentials attached

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students in grades 912
  • Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and document ongoing student progress
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and parents to support communication goals
  • Adapt interventions and strategies to individual and group settings
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to a positive educational climate
