Step into a fulfilling opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students on a full-time contract basis. This position is based onsite at a vibrant high school, offering the chance to make a lasting difference from August 2026 through May 2027. Youll work as an integral part of a supportive educational team, collaborating with staff and empowering students to achieve their communication goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current SLP license required (must be active and in good standing)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) preferred
- Prior school-based SLP experience strongly desired
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques and approaches to suit individual student needs
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive environment for all learners
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services to students in a high school setting
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, counselors, and parents/guardians
- Maintain accurate documentation, including evaluation reports and progress notes
- Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions tailored to a diverse student population
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support planning
