Step into an engaging contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist for preschool early intervention programs. Available positions serve Carbon or Lehigh County, and focus on providing itinerant therapy services to preschool-aged students, with the possibility of working with school-age students throughout the academic year. Embrace variety in your workweek as you travel to different sites, delivering high-impact speech and language interventions to children who will benefit most from your expertise.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania SLP licensure, including an educator credential (Instructional I or II)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
- Recent experience working as an SLP within schools, particularly early intervention or PreK-12 settings
- Ability to provide direct, in-person services across various locations
- Flexible mindset and adaptability to shifting caseloads and age groups
- Strong organizational skills and effective communication with school-based teams and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver itinerant speech-language pathology services for preschool early intervention caseloads, with potential to transition to serving K-12 students as needed
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in young children
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Travel between assigned locations within Carbon or Lehigh County
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
