Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from Pre K through 12th grade as a Speech Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year, August 2026 through May 2027. You'll manage a caseload of approximately 40 students, making a tangible difference in their communication skills and educational journeys within a dynamic school setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and valid ALSDE Speech Language Pathologist certificate required
- Successful completion of background check through ALSDE
- Previous experience in educational or school-based environments preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload across multiple age groups
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, working effectively with teachers, parents, and other specialists
- Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Craft and execute individualized treatment plans that address each student's unique needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress records adhering to school and state guidelines
- Consult and work closely with educators and families to maximize student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and parent conferences as needed
- Adapt intervention approaches to support students across Pre K through 12th grade
