Desired Qualifications:
- Valid and active Speech-Language Pathology license in New Mexico
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and data collection
- Strong knowledge of communication disorders affecting school-aged children
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy to students with speech, language, and communication challenges in both group and individual settings
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals tailored to each students unique needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide consultation and training to school staff regarding communication strategies and best practices
