An opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Bangor, ME. This contract position during the current school year involves working 37.5 hours per week with a focus on providing direct therapy, conducting assessments, and collaborating with educational staff to support student success.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct speech and language therapy services aligned with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to the development and writing of IEPs
- Administering evaluations and tests to assess students' communication needs
- Collaborating effectively with teachers, administrators, and support personnel to enhance student outcomes
Qualifications:
- Current Speech Language Pathologist license valid in Maine
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, therapy, and writing IEPs
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within an educational team
